Site specific installation made from drywall, concrete, and oil pastel.
Going from the wall I had built covering the entrance to a gallery in my project “Untitled II,” this project started as a large 17’ by 10’ panel inside the art gallery where I used concrete and dirt carried over from Untitled II, to create a concrete paste that I used to brush onto the panel to create the look of a concrete wall. I wrote in Farsi between the gap in the brick pattern critical poetry and memories, which represents other metaphorical walls in my life. After writing each line, I crossed over the text with my finger to smudge and cover my writing. I destroyed the wall as an ending to my performance. The short video of the performance is part of the portfolio.
